UNTITLED
When I was younger, I wondered if chaos was the sea (and every single individual who ever wanted to feel alive wandered to see it for themselves at least once or twice). Now that I'm older i realized that maybe Chaos is the long road before reaching the morning sun—littered with signs and billboards pointing east (towards the sleeping horizon)'To better days!" says a giant neon signHow a single event could be both intentional and accidental, I couldn't begin to explain to you but that's what it was when we got ourselves lost in Chaos. In Chaos, your knuckles turned white and my fingers grew stiff from the frost but you held my held my hand anyway. In Chaos, your trembling lips kissed my tears. You plucked the small flowers that peeked through the cracks in the sidewalk and lay them at my feet as I dozed in a fitful sleep. I captured elusive rainbows after the sky stops crying just to show you colors that come after anguish. I walked you down the path where wilting plants led the way and showed you how to water them so that they may live again. Chaos is the long road by the sea (it's a long journey). We stole a car halfway and named her, Hopefully. As we navigated through chaos, we passed more red lights than we could count and I remember our laughter reverberating through the night as we screamed "Fuck you universe!"I'd like to think that we drove on long after the asphalt turned to dirt roads and the stop signs became picket fences. We have yet to answer the question 'what comes after chaos? ' because darling, we're still traveling. right now, as I listen to your troubled sleeping i just want you to know that i'd only dare being lost in chaos if it meant getting unlost with you. and if you ask me why, it's simply because I love you

UNTITLED IIYou have an abundance of poets and I wonder if you carry the weight of all their words in your pocket like spare change. I wonder if they pull you down like gravity—like promises. Do you walk heavier in the mornings or are you too familiar with the intricacies and consequences of being heartbreak personified that you walk without a hitch in your step? You have your collection of woes and I wonder, when you shower do you feel like you're being drenched by the sadness of all the girls who cried for you like holy water to the exorcised? do you have trouble sleeping at night or are you comforted by the pitter patter of the water droplets by your windowsill? You carry a your string of strange sentiments and mementos but I wonder, do you ponder about how many chests you've left hollow, how many wholes you've left in fractions, or how many scars you've pierced permanent? Do you already keep a tally and am I but another strike? But I don't want to know how many hearts you've broken in this lifetime. I don't want to find out exactly how much of the same thing you fell in love with. Don’t tell me how much of yourself you've already given someone else—worse, how much of another person you've given me too. I don't want to know how many versions of myself you already knew.

HOW TO WRITE HAPPY AGAINI learned to love you like how I learned to love this place. By noticing spaces in between big buildings, seeing which doors are open, which signs are lit. My love, none of these places hold your name but you remind me of them. These roads aren't perfect, but they held witness to thousands of stories and to be honest, I think that's what makes them beautiful. And you know the city, there's always somewhere to visit. In the cold mornings, I learned which place would welcome tired strangers (I wandered there sometimes). During lonely nights, I found which places would offer you a song or two, and a friend (or a few).
I haven't even acquainted myself with all the museums here, but the ones I've seen, with their age and beauty—a catalog of memories immortalized—gave me a glimpse of the power of our minds, of our hands.
And in this way, I fell further.
And I'll fall further.

Hello,
My name is Aura, a young artist currently completing my Film degree in UP Diliman.
What I do:
My interests include creative writing, filmmaking (branches of screenwriting and directing), photography, and both digital & traditional painting. I also have a background in dance and robotics.
For most of my life, my academic journey was geared towards the sciences and tech. Initially, the goal was to become a doctor, then a chemical engineer, but I'm happy to say that I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's in a field I never knew I could be a part of!
